Teaching
Courses
Courses I teach or have taught at UT Arlington include Contemporary Moral Problems (PHIL 1304), Introduction to Philosophy (PHIL 2300), Biomedical Ethics (PHIL 3319), Disability Ethics (PHIL 3322), Topics in Bioethics (PHIL 3341), Philosophy and Literature (PHIL 4318), and Healthcare Through Fiction (HUMA 3340).
I have taught advanced conference courses for individual students or small groups on abortion, transplant ethics, and the philosophy of death. I try to offer at least one a year, so UTA philosophy majors interested in doing a conference course with me should feel free to get in touch.

Open Pedagogy
In 2022, in collaboration with Maker Literacies Librarian Morgan Chivers and the UTA FabLab, I founded Make Philosophy, an open pedagogy project that designs 3D-printed teaching tools for philosophy and distributes the maker files for free to educators around the world.
Philosophy Through Fiction
I often assign short fiction in my undergraduate philosophy classes. For the benefit of other instructors, I keep a list of my favorite readings for the classroom, organized by topic.
