About Me
I am an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Humanities at the University of Texas at Arlington. I am also the Founder and Director of the open pedagogy project Make Philosophy.
My research is predominantly in medical ethics, with a focus on two areas: (1) organ donation, allocation, and transplantation, and (2) whole body donation and related issues in anatomical ethics. My work on the non-consented use of unclaimed bodies in Texas medical education helped effectively end the practice statewide in 2024.
When I'm not working, I like to do all sorts of things. I am a Quaker.
You can reach me by email at [email protected] or [email protected].
My CV is available here.
